A road trip to Sheringham – #200mileweekend East Anglia by MuddyGoose - March 17, 20170 What could be nicer than a leisurely ride to the seaside through the Norfolk countryside with a couple of coffee/lunch stops along the way, with friends! Stop over with fish & chips for tea, a couple of local ales in a nearby pub and then return back the following day. That was the plan. Four of us, road bikes, 100 miles each way. Tough enough to be a challenge but nothing beyond our ability that's for sure. 1095
Hunstanton Fish & Chip Ride 2016 East Anglia by MuddyGoose - May 15, 20160 Back in February I wrote about the Yaxley Riders Reliability Trial, "One Year On – Reliability Trial 2016". It was my first repeat event and I felt rather pleased with my progress. The Hunstanton Fish & Chip ride was my next 'one year on' repeat ride and again, it went well! 682
One Year On – Reliability Trial 2016 Cambridgeshire Rides East Anglia by MuddyGoose - February 26, 20161 Last year was a successful cycling year for me. Probably with my performance pinnacle being the Tour of Cambridgeshire. After the summer I seemed to gradually decline into winter. Is that normal? Presumably a downturn into winter should be expected, the question is how much? This is a difficult question to answer when you don't have years of comparative data to look back through. 580
Full 55 mile Commute to Work East Anglia by MuddyGoose - August 18, 20150 As I came over the brow of a shallow rise I saw them; little red blinking lights, off to the right, stationary and no I wasn't seeing things. Even after 70 km in the rain following a day's work I wasn't quite that tired! As I drew closer and I could see the jerseys in the dusk I recognised the riders, they were the group I would have gone riding with on this particular rainy evening had I not chosen to ride the 90 km from work instead. They had stopped to fix a puncture which although a pain for them was a relief for me; after 70 lonely kilometers I was relishing the opportunity to ride in a group
Longest Ride Yet; 150 mile loop for Fish & Chips East Anglia by MuddyGoose - May 1, 20155 Take away Fish & Chips is a big tradition here in the UK and everybody has their preferred Fish & Chip Shop, but even so cycling a 150 mile round trip would generally be considered a little over the top! But that's exactly what we did on Sunday with a journey that took us from Peterborough to Hunstanton and back. 302
