Cold and Icy – No Excuses

For anyone not in the know, that title might be seen as me advocating manning up and braving the weather etc. But no, that's all been said before, many times by many riders and until I get the chance to ride across the Mongolian plains I really won't truly understand tough conditions. 1341

A road trip to Sheringham – #200mileweekend

By the seafront in Cromer

What could be nicer than a leisurely ride to the seaside through the Norfolk countryside with a couple of coffee/lunch stops along the way, with friends!  Stop over with fish & chips for tea, a couple of local ales in a nearby pub and then return back the following day.  That was the plan.  Four of us, road bikes, 100 miles each way.  Tough enough to be a challenge but nothing beyond our ability that's for sure. 1095

As I came over the brow of a shallow rise I saw them; little red blinking lights, off to the right, stationary and no I wasn't seeing things. Even after 70 km in the rain following a day's work I wasn't quite that tired! They had stopped to fix a puncture which although a pain for them was a relief for me; after 70 lonely kilometers I was relishing the opportunity to ride in a group

Longest Ride Yet; 150 mile loop for Fish & Chips

In Hunstanton - By the Lighthouse

But that's exactly what we did on Sunday with a journey that took us from Peterborough to Hunstanton and back. 302
